January  2010

Animal Center's Volunteer Orientation
When: Tuesday, January 19, 5:00 pm
Where: Young-Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919
THIS ORIENTATION IS FULL. THE NEXT DATES ARE MAY 10 AND MAY 17, 2010. Does your fur run orange? If so, you should Join the PAC (Pals of the Animal Center)! In its new facility, the Animal Center shelters 475 homeless and unwanted animals, and volunteer help is needed every day. PAC members walk and behavior train dogs, socialize cats, work with small mammals, assist in adoptions, help keep the animals clean and comfy, work at special events and fundraisers, and much more! This general orientation is open to anyone interested in learning more about Knox County's non-profit, open-intake animal shelter and the important role it plays in our community. Animal Center volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Although we welcome a long-term volunteering commitment, all volunteers are required to donate at least six hours each month for one year and are required to pay a $25 program fee to cover printing and other program costs. If you plan to attend this orientation session, please email Deonna Light or call her at 865-215-6662 to reserve a space.
